The shape of the future
The Shape of the Future has become a unique artistic expression, with graphite drawings that are processed by Artificial Intelligence to create images of futuristic devices whose functionality is unknown. This combination of art and technology shows us a world where creativity merges with uncertainty, leading us to reflect on innovation and the impact of artificial intelligence on artistic creation. The resulting designs are fascinating and disconcerting at the same time: they challenge our expectations and awaken our imagination. This innovative approach invites us to question what we know and to explore the infinite possibilities that technology and art can offer.

The astonishing 156 x 120 cm graphite drawing on canvas, known as “535 from the Fragments of the Future” series, is a masterpiece created with extreme dedication in 2022. Every detail of this incomplete cyborg was meticulously rendered in the series, which seeks to shape a futuristic puzzle. Although the answers are yet to be revealed, the artist is confident that the future will bring them through these incredible creations. In addition, the artificial intelligence process has generated fascinating results, adding an additional layer of complexity to this work of art.
502 Graphite drawing, 120 x 150cm, processed by Artifical Intelligence
The shape of the future is a project that starts from an uncertainty: that of glimpsing a shape for the near future. In this sense, the images generated by artificial intelligence that make up this project tend to reinforce this uncertainty. The graphite drawings are extremely detailed, but no totality can be deduced from them; they are fragments of something indecipherable, at times machinic, at times organic. These drawings, subjected to the interpretation of artificial intelligence, generate diverse, sometimes disturbing perspectives of objects whose functionality is unknowable. The shape of the future can be read as a warning” (Marcelo Pelissier, 2024).
Fragments of the future
A series of graphite drawings on paper, framed with glass and ranging in size from 40 cm to 80 cm, Ángeles explores a multi-species alliance with technology, a space of mixture where living matter and machine converge. She draws the fragments of an organism in formation, an inconceivable body; an uncertain but possible future that looms and threatens, and whose totality we cannot imagine. These fragments, partly organic and partly machinic, stimulate our imagination, which seeks in vain to complete the form. To assemble this puzzle, to see the final conformation of this cyborg to come is not possible. The future will bring the answers.
